(SUSHIL) Supporting the Unity and Sustainability of Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) to Uphold Human Rights, National Integrity and Rule of Law in Bangladesh

Project Objectives

Strengthen Civil Society Organizations as self-reliant and independent shapers of good governance and development

Expected Outcomes

1. Creating an enabling environment that enhances transparency and accountability for CSOs and coalitions to conduct their activities and carry forward their mandates. 2. Setting up of a legal advice cell through which support can be provided to CSOs at the grassroots level. 3. Creation of a young and paid citizen journalists Forum. 4. Conduct awareness-raising and campaign activities with the government and government authorities on digital security and digital media. 5. A strong CSO and coalition in collaboration with all stakeholders and government authorities at all levels to create an appropriate space for dialogue in internal policy formulation. 6. Conduct research and evidence-based advocacy activities to ensure minority, women, persons with special needs, and youth-friendly services. 7. Taking initiatives, reviewing practices, coordinating, and collaborating through strengthening civil society coalitions. 8. On-demand capacity building, technical development, and financial management of small and emerging CSOs for direct engagement with donor agencies. 9. Organizing civil society conferences at the district level and organizing annual symposia at the national level. 10. Strengthen civil society alliance by forming a hub with CSOs at the local level to strengthen civil society activities and ensure cooperation, respect, mutual trust, and accountability among them.
