Mission & Vision

Mission Statement

The Mission of ABALAMBAN is to develop Human and Institutional Development of target people so that they can be the driving force for their change and can establish their rights peace building and dignity through united standing, voice raising, media campaign, mobilization, etc. ABALAMBAN believes that participation of the poor people is necessary for changing their condition and position.

Vision Statement

The Vision of ABALAMBAN is to contribute in establishing a society, which is socially just, pluralistic, democratic, economically productive, and ecologically balanced, where all people can explore their innate potential for an equitable social and natural environment.

Objectives

• Improve livelihoods condition of extreme poor • Empower the excluded, poor and women socially and economically • Promote human rights and social justice and Reduce environmental degradation.

Major Activities

Presently ABALAMBAN is an active organisation in the Gaibandha district for establishing rights, peace building, and dignity of the Ethnic minority and Dalits people. ABALAMBAN is implementing programmes with limited resources supported by Bread for the World-Germany/IED, UNDP, Manusher Jonno Foundation (MJF) and voluntary contribution of local people and Board Members at present. Current projects are as follows: Voices Unleashed: Empowering Women for Social Justice. National Advancement for Governance and Rights Initiatives in Communities under (NAGORIC) project. Empowering Women with Skills, Promoting Artisanal Diversity, and Enhancing Livelihood. The capacity of the vulnerable communities to ensure peace and justice through the collaboration of strong alliance (CSO & Media) in the society. Building an Inclusive and sustainable supply chain for responsibly produced high-quality vegetables project (ISCHV).
